1957 Jaguar XKSS
He owns 60 of the rarest, most valuable cars in the world. Among them a 1938 Bugatti coupe, a 1938 Alfa Romeo Mille Miglia roadster, and the world’s only 1930 Mercedes-Benz SSK “Count Trossi” roadster. Off course that all are in mint condition & all driven by the designer himself.3, and is slightly out of sight in Westchester County, New York. Not the centre of all things flashy, but probably exactly where Mr. Lauren wants it to be – out of sight.
All of the cars have been maintained carefully since new, or restored to the smallest details. Mr. Lauren has in his collection Old and new cars, probably one of the most impressive new one is the Lamborghini Reventón with its 640-horsepower (only 15 have ever been built). It is said unlike other designers he does not collect art but rather cars. Well he claims it’s not just for their beauty but he actually drives them. Not bad, must be a nightmare which car to choose to go get some milk at the near by 7/11 though…
