DO WOMEN HAVE TO WEAR MAKE-UP TO BE SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE?

Make-Up, Yes or No?

A woman who goes out without cosmetics on her face is viewed as "letting herself go" or "not taking care in her appearance" in our culture.  A woman who goes to a job interview with a face free of make-up is seen as sloppy.  A woman in America can legally be fired for failure to wear make-up. 

While many women claim wearing make-up makes them feel good about themselves, I think they wouldn't feel bad about themselves make-up free if our culture didn't pressure them to wear make-up in the first place.

I also think that it's mostly women who put pressure on women to wear make-up rather than men preferring women to wear cosmetics.
